Movies: Blood Creek

Blood Creek http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450336/

Plot: A kidnapped man escapes his captors and enlists his brother to go back with him to exact revenge. And there's Nazis involved.

Supernatural Horror Thriller with violence, gore, fire, occult and a Nazi

Directed by: Ol' "hit or miss" Joel Schumacher (8mm, The Lost Boys, Flatliners, Falling Down, Phone Booth, The Number 23, DC Cab, St Elmo's Fail, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin)

Stars: folks I probably should recognize but didn't until I looked up their filmographies

Hit or Miss: Yeah

Interesting story based on a drop of fact in a bucket of fiction, has some edge of the seat moments, is creepy, bloody, violent.  Coherent enough to hold together from start to finish. If'n ya likes ya some horror/thriller flicks that are slightly more involved than the latest "Jigsaw Killer Rube Goldberg Killing Machine Hour" you might have some appreciation for this one.  Joel S. can put many facets of a movie together, I'll give him that.  I especially appreciated how the aural/visual tone of the movie moved from bright to darkest in parallel with the story.

Will it be the greatest horror/thriller/supernatural flick you ever see? Nope. But it is adequately entertaining and slightly above par.
